Getting ready to check out

Ah...what a lovely holiday, but I'm so excited that I'm going to see my daddy again! He's coming to pick me up after work and in preparation we all decided that we were going to look and smell as presentable as we could...

It's bath time!

First I watched Kobe and Katsu have their bath, then it was my turn to jump in.

It was time for me to have a rinse so I can be lathered up. I think Kobe's mummy got the shock of her life because when she poured water over me it looked like half of me had melted off...

After a lather and rinse, we all got to go outside and get "air-dried" since it was a warm day.

We had a little play outside and then we all went back inside for a nap (bathing is hard work you know!).

I'll be dreaming happily of my adventures from my summer holiday until daddy comes and picks me up later.

This is Mox, checking out with my final post.

Thanks for following my adventures WooF wOOF :)

Meeting the Zen Master and her sidekick Pirate

We all went on a doggie playdate to meet Pirate and Sam (who turned out to be the Zen Master)...We had a little play in the yard before we checked out Pirate's awesome set-up. Love the massive windows with the Northerly aspect!

We played for a bit and then Sam took out the treats- Boy did I perform! I sat, stayed, shook hands and turned around like there was no tomorrow! Although when it was someone else's turn to perform, I sometimes siddled up against Sam in the hope of getting a treat anyway (I'd like to think that I'm thinking outside the square).

The treats were sooooo good, even Katsu got into it! Sam saw that we loved the treats so much that she sent us home with a little bag to share :)

Then while the humans had afternoon tea, we all got some kangaroo jerky that Kobe's grandma bought for us to nibble on. Yummy yum yum....

Afterward, the Zen Master emerged...

The idea behind Doggie Zen is: To get the treat, we must learn to give up the treat.

She somehow got me to leave the treat there in front of me until I didn't reach for it and until she said it was ok that I ate it. Gee that was a tough one because I LOVE treats SO much!!

The Zen master also managed to do some Zen group training with Pirate and I. We had to leave the treats alone (within nibbling distance mind you!), lay down and wait until she stopped counting and pointed to the treat! Gee, that was HARD work! But I did it and I'm sure I've made mummy and daddy proud wherever they are. Kobe's mummy even has a video of it as proof!

Kobe also had a go as well with his daddy....I just watched this time.

Alas, it was time to go home. The Zen Master got me to wait at the door without whining and then she walked us all down to the front yard and said goodbye.

What a day!

Doggie playdate

What better way to start the new year than to go visit some doggie friends!

Today we went to Kobe's mummy's brother's house and met Narla, Max, Britney and Rocky. Max is 15 years old, partially blind and deaf. I love following him around because he smells so good!

All the humans were having some morning tea, so I thought I might try and ask them for some by begging...it seems that I need more work on the begging front since they didn't seem to be swayed :(

Then again, I got to play with Rocky's new toy that he got for Christmas which was nice.

After a lot of playing inside and in the garden with my new friends, I was tired. So, we all lay down for a short rest.....

Then it was time to go home and I had to say goodbye to my new friends.

Until next time!

Watching the cricket like a real Aussie!

I've gone to sooo many social engagements lately, we've caught up with lots of human and doggy family and friends....Time for a break to check out the cricket like a real Aussie!

It was so nice just to chill with my friends. It's hard work performing at social engagements. I have to be on my best behaviour and smile all the time. Gee, my cheek muscles do get a bit of a work out!  It's nice to be able to pile onto Kobe's dad to settle down after a hectic couple of days. He didn't seem to mind....

What an exciting game! We demolished the English team by 8 wickets taking a 4-0 lead from a game of 5!

Now I can rest knowing that we're set to win the Ashes...Time to get some beauty sleep.

Cafe Bones- the place to be!

In the morning we were all bundled up in the car for an exciting new adventure. Kobe and Katsu said that they've been to Cafe Bones before and it's an awesome place to chill, meet some new friends and even sip a puppycino.

I was sooooo excited!

We met lots of dogs big and small.

Kobe's dad thought that I might like to try a puppycino since it's my first time here and I managed to get a sip in before this happened....

I was a tad disappointed that I didn't get to finish my puppycino...then again, I think Katsu was even more shocked than I was that someone as big as that decided to crowd her space! That's ok though because I got some pats as consolation.

After a nice long play and sip of puppycino it was time to go home. I decided that I wanted to share my 'adventure capsule' (because it always takes me to new adventures when I jump in) with Kobe. He seemed to really enjoy it!

This is Mox, checking out for her nap- until next time!

Moxie Maclary....endlessly merry

Kobe's great-grandma thinks that I'm a celeb look-a-like.....

I bet I can be famous too with just a bit of help from some friends like Schnitzel von Krumm....

Who wouldn't love me with my scruffy coat and endless enthusiasm?

Running a Mox

Sometimes when you're Moxie a walk just isn't enough. You need to run and you need to run fast.

Of course not everyone can keep up with me, so I ditched my little friends and took one of my minders for a proper run. He cheated a bit and used his bike to keep up.

I ran and ran and ran and ran. I am Moxie, watch me run.

Eventually I did run out of energy, and trailed along home - Moxie
